The Magic of 2017
Sunset. August. 2017. Chattanooga, TN. The sun sets behind a cloud bank and the mountains behind the Tennessee River.
2017. We’re coming to the end and I get to indulge in one of my favorite parts of the year. A look back. This year seemed to be a more celestial visual year than most. There was the total eclipse – wow – and the “big moon” events.
Total Eclipse. 8.21.2017. Clemson, Ga. At Clemson University, a solar eclipse viewed near the science building and the library.
Supermoon. Dec. 3, 2017. Tampa, Fl. 300mm lens. Canon. Supermoons happen when a full moon is at the point in its orbit at which it is closest to Earth.
I could also count a sunset over the Tennessee River in Chattanooga as part of that grouping. Beyond the lunar, there has continued to be many joyous events and occasions that I’m lucky enough to be a part of. Here are a few more of my favorites from 2017. Enjoy.
Triathlon. April. 2017. St. Anthony’s Triathlon.
At the Seminole Heights Charter School graduation held at the Tampa Convention Center, invited speakers speak to the graduating class.
Wedding. Greg and Morgan get married aboard The Starlight Sapphire. October 1. 2017
Graduation. May. 2017. Brianna is the first family member to graduate from high school and her father was one of the first to greet her after the ceremony for the Seminole Heights Charter School.
Eclipse Sleeping. 8.21.2017. Clemson, Ga. For some, the solar eclipse was just too much.
