For me, the 3:00 am rise is always way too early. But the sheer excitement, drama and human determination to finish the St. Anthony’s Triathlon, and visually tell that story with photos, is worth every moment of being there.
From the morning sunrise and beach water scenes to the human emotion along the race route, there are many special moments.
After each athlete completes the race there are many looks of jubilation and the sense of accomplishment is palpable.
Not to mention the look that the toll of the race has taken on each participant. Though not a participant in the race per se, I’m grateful to participate in my own way.
